8 Months

Another month has come and gone. I know I say it all the time, but I can't believe how fast time goes. Aaron is 8 months old today. He is doing so good. He has finished his medicine, so no more shots. We are all so happy he is off the medicine and returning to his normal happy self. He is so fun to have around. We sure love him!

This was the last day he had his shot. Even he was happy to be done!

So Chubby

Aaron is getting so big. My girls were the scrawniest things when they were little and I always wanted a chubby baby, well I finally got one. I really can't take any of the credit, but his medication has really helped him to become chubby. He is almost 18 pounds which I don't think Quincee hit 18 pounds til around 12 or 13 months. So I love it. He is starting to get back to his "normal" little self and is smiling non-stop. He has been so happy and we have all loved it. I just had to show off a few pics of how cute our little guy is!

This is the difference in not even a month! Look at those cheeks!

Aaron loves his baths.

Such a cutie!

It was only a matter of time...

So Caitlin got a hold of the scissors the other day. This wasn't the first time she got to them. But instead of cutting my blinds in my kitchen and living room this time she decided to go for her hair. Now Cait has only gotten one hair cut before because her hair grows so slow. I kept looking at her thinking something looked different, then I noticed her pjs were all cut up (not the first time with that either!). Then it all clicked and I asked if she cut her hair she said she did and had put it in the garbage.

There in the garbage where all these little curls. She was so proud of herself. I called my friend and she said to come down and she would fix it. It was a total mullet. I thought maybe I should just leave it. Mullets are cool right? Well Crystal fixed it as good as she could, but we had to cut it really short so that it would all grow out the same. Oh so sad! Now instead of a mullet she has the feathered look. Nice! We tried to think of a way to discipline her, but Caitlin doesn't seem to care about anything. You could take away her toys, send her to her room, anything and she just doesn't care. So I made her take a nap. So mean I know! But she didn't care about any of my threats so I thought I atleast deserved some peace and quite for a bit. I guess it will always grow back. As for the blinds and pjs...well, we'll just keep all the scissors in a secret place.

6 Months

Aaron turned 6 months yesterday. I can't believe how fast that time has gone. He has gone through a lot this last month. He is such a strong little boy and I'm so thankful for him. He has a long road a head of him, but I know it will only make all of us stronger. He is so sweet. He loves to cuddle, which all of us fight over to see who gets to cuddle with him. He is very easy going and has done so good with all the changes that have been going on. I'm so glad he's part of our family. He is such a blessing to all of us.

Happy Birthday Quincee

Well I can't believe my little girl is 6 years old(well she will be tomorrow, but I won't have time to post this tomorrow)! Quincee has been so excited for her birthday. She is such a sweet little girl. It makes me kind of sad that she is growing up so fast. There's something about your oldest kid and how you want them to grow up so fast and be able to do all these things and then when it happens you wish you could stop it.
Quinc is such a good girl. She is always in a good mood. She is my little helper, whether it's getting her sister dressed or feeding Aaron his bottle. She always has a hug and a kiss for you and always tells you how much she loves you. She is very thoughtful of others and very tender hearted. She takes after her mom and worries way too much, but is very sweet and just wants everyone to be happy. I wish I could keep her at this age forever. We might have our sassyness at times, but atleast I can still hug and kiss her and she wants me to be with her. I'm afraid that won't last much longer. We love her so much and are so glad she's part of our family. Happy Birthday sis! We love you!

I had to put this picture of her and Aaron in. He loves his big sister and she is so good with him. He loves when she holds and cuddles with him. So cute!

A great mom/grandma

I have the best mom in the world! She came down the other weekend to stay with the kids so Brian and I could go with the youth to do baptisms. I came home to a clean house, clean kids, laundry done (not only washed, but folded and put away. I hate doing laundry.). She let them dress themselves and do their own hair! Yikes! Then she came down the other day to spend the night and watch Quincee's little program at school. She helped me cook, changed diapers, made beds and yes, did my laundry again! She is so wonderful! I don't ask her to do anything, she says she likes to do it. I wonder if I'll ever get to that point where I like to do it!=) Anyway, I just had to tell you how lucky I am to have such a good mom. She's always been so good to me, even when I was younger and a really big brat! Thanks for all you do mom. We love you so much!

Quincee in her awesome outfit! Love the red tights and the hair! Good thing her grandma is so nice!

Caitlin in a dress with levis. She loves this dress and grandma let her wear it with some warm clothes under it. Lovely!

We love you Grandma!
and yes I really do do my laundry when my mom isn't here. I just don't usually fold it or put it away!

Birthday/Haircuts/Thanksgiving All in One

I'm a little behind on my blogging....so let's play catch-up.
First, Caitlin had a great birthday with both sets of grandparents here for cake and ice cream. She got this awesome princess scooter and helmet. Oh so cute! She had a Sleeping Beauty birthday cake, not her first pick. She wanted a Hanna Montana birthday, I thought she was a little to young though so she settled for Sleeping Beauty. She is still asking me if it's her birthday and wants to have another party with her friends. She is so fun to have around, even when she throws a snow globe on the kitchen floor and breaks it or writes all over the kitchen chairs with lipstick (those are just a few of the things she's done TODAY!). We still love her!

Then there were the haircuts. The other day Quincee wanted me to straighten her hair, which turned out very cute. Well then Caitlin wanted hers straight, not so cute. So I took them to my friend Crystal to get their hair cut. Cait had never had hers cut, so she was so excited. Quincee was pretty proud of her hair when she had to stand up to get it cut because it is so long. They got it washed, cut and got their nails painted. Thanks Crystal for doing such a good job and for letting us take up so much of your time. You're the best!

Before....

....after. She wouldn't let Crystal dry it, so this is as good as it got.

Now on to Thanksgiving. Let's go back to last year...we had Thanksgiving at my mom's house and just as we were all sitting down at the table, Quincee threw up everywhere. Yummy, I know. Well she wanted nothing to do with Thanksgiving this year. We finally convinced her that she was not going to get sick agian. So we went to Brian's parents this year. Aaron wasn't feeling the best the day before and the morning of Thanksgiving Brian's mom got really sick. So sick that she missed out on all the turkey and potatoes. So sad! Well that night who else got sick??? Quincee. Yep, second year in a row. As she was throwing up she looked up at Brian and said "Dad I just don't think Thanksgivings for me." She's so funny! Well we think she might have a reaction to the flu shot, since she got it the day before both years. Not next year though. By the weekend everyone felt pretty good. It was a fun Thanksgiving, even with all the sickness.

Brian likes to supervise, making sure it's cut just right!

Quincee, Caitlin and Tucker enjoying the food. It looks like Caitlin is eating that huge thing of potatoes! Maybe she really was!

The girls got their first shooting lesson. Thanks uncle Geoff!

And we finally got to see Santa. Santa wasn't paying attention, but the girls look cute. Quincee told him she wants a DS for Christmas and Caitlin wants a broom...no not to help mom sweep but to ride on because she is a witch! ha, ha!
