A great mom/grandma

I have the best mom in the world! She came down the other weekend to stay with the kids so Brian and I could go with the youth to do baptisms. I came home to a clean house, clean kids, laundry done (not only washed, but folded and put away. I hate doing laundry.). She let them dress themselves and do their own hair! Yikes! Then she came down the other day to spend the night and watch Quincee's little program at school. She helped me cook, changed diapers, made beds and yes, did my laundry again! She is so wonderful! I don't ask her to do anything, she says she likes to do it. I wonder if I'll ever get to that point where I like to do it!=) Anyway, I just had to tell you how lucky I am to have such a good mom. She's always been so good to me, even when I was younger and a really big brat! Thanks for all you do mom. We love you so much!

Birthday/Haircuts/Thanksgiving All in One

I'm a little behind on my blogging....so let's play catch-up.

First, Caitlin had a great birthday with both sets of grandparents here for cake and ice cream. She got this awesome princess scooter and helmet. Oh so cute! She had a Sleeping Beauty birthday cake, not her first pick. She wanted a Hanna Montana birthday, I thought she was a little to young though so she settled for Sleeping Beauty. She is still asking me if it's her birthday and wants to have another party with her friends. She is so fun to have around, even when she throws a snow globe on the kitchen floor and breaks it or writes all over the kitchen chairs with lipstick (those are just a few of the things she's done TODAY!). We still love her!

Then there were the haircuts. The other day Quincee wanted me to straighten her hair, which turned out very cute. Well then Caitlin wanted hers straight, not so cute. So I took them to my friend Crystal to get their hair cut. Cait had never had hers cut, so she was so excited. Quincee was pretty proud of her hair when she had to stand up to get it cut because it is so long. They got it washed, cut and got their nails painted. Thanks Crystal for doing such a good job and for letting us take up so much of your time. You're the best!

Now on to Thanksgiving. Let's go back to last year...we had Thanksgiving at my mom's house and just as we were all sitting down at the table, Quincee threw up everywhere. Yummy, I know. Well she wanted nothing to do with Thanksgiving this year. We finally convinced her that she was not going to get sick agian. So we went to Brian's parents this year. Aaron wasn't feeling the best the day before and the morning of Thanksgiving Brian's mom got really sick. So sick that she missed out on all the turkey and potatoes. So sad! Well that night who else got sick??? Quincee. Yep, second year in a row. As she was throwing up she looked up at Brian and said "Dad I just don't think Thanksgivings for me." She's so funny! Well we think she might have a reaction to the flu shot, since she got it the day before both years. Not next year though. By the weekend everyone felt pretty good. It was a fun Thanksgiving, even with all the sickness.

And we finally got to see Santa. Santa wasn't paying attention, but the girls look cute. Quincee told him she wants a DS for Christmas and Caitlin wants a broom...no not to help mom sweep but to ride on because she is a witch! ha, ha!

Happy Birthday Caitlin

Today is Caitlin's birthday. She turns 3 and I can't believe it. My little girl is getting so big and it's so sad. We had a little party with the grandparents on Saturday and we are going to celebrate again tonight. She has been so excited for today. She can't wait to go to tumbling so that everyone can sing happy birthday to her. She is so fun to have around. There's not a day that goes by that she doesn't tell you that she "yoves you" or that "you're the best". She has the cutest personality and loves to tease. I don't know what we would do with out her. We love you Cait! Happy Birthday!

Fun Times

Friday Brian got out half day so we headed to Tooele to drop the girls off at Bri's parents and then headed into Salt Lake to go to the jazz game. We went to dinner first and found ourselves eating so fast. We are so use to eating fast because someones crying or we are running late. So we sat back and enjoyed it for awhile. Then we headed over to the game. We love going to Jazz games. Aaron was with us and he did so good. We were worried because it is so loud in there, but he slept most of the time. It was so fun! It was so nice to get out and spend time together. I just wish we could do it more often.

Quincee loves to ride grandpa's horses and has been riding them since she was about 18 months old. But we've never been able to talk Caitlin into getting on, but this time she finally did and she loved it. At first she had to ride with Quinc then she got brave and rode all by herself. It's funny how opposite those two girls are about certain things. But they had a lot of fun. Grandpa has been giving Quincee some riding lessons and she is getting pretty good. I never thought I'd have a little cowgirl, but it is fun!

Saturday we went down to my parents because some of my cousins were in town. My cousin Ashley and her husband and family were here from Washington and Levi, Lacey, Easton and Lacee were up from St. George. It had been about 5 years since we had all been together. So I called my mom and asked if we could all meet at their place. My mom is so wonderful and had dinner and dessert there for all of us and let our kids trash her house. We ate a lot and laughed even more. It was so fun to all be together. Thanks for coming you guys. Hope we can do it again soon!

This is Aaron and Macey. They are about two weeks apart. All the cousins are so close in age. It was so fun!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year. The girls were so excited. It is probably my second favorite holiday(Christmas is first). It was so fun to go out in the neighborhood and see everyone trick-or-treating. I loved it. We had to first carve a pumpkin. Yes, just one. I love halloween, but carving pumpkins is Brian's job, it's not my favorite thing to do.

The girls looked so cute in their costumes. Quincee was a cat and Caitlin was a witch. It was pretty windy that night so Caitlin ended up being hat less and Quincee's tail kept falling off so she was tail less by the end. Aaron was dressed up in his Bronco outfit. He didn't go all out this year. But they still looked so cute!

If only Aaron knew how good that stuff was around him!=)

Here are the latest pictures of Aaron. He is 3 months old and it has gone by way to fast. He is so fun and cute. He laughed for the first time today. I mean like the full on belly laugh. It was so dang cute. Of course I couldn't record it fast enough, so I'll have to try to catch it next time.

7 Years

7 years ago on this day Brian and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was one of the happiest days of my life. In some ways it seems like just yesterday. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. He is my best friend. There isn't a day that goes by where Brian doesn't make me laugh and smile. With life so busy right now, he always finds time to be with me and the girls. I still get excited when he walks in the door or when he calls on the phone. I never get tired of seeing him in a suit (which is 6 days out of the week!). I love when he sees something funny and can't stop laughing. He is the best dad to our kids. The girls get so excited when he comes in the door and Aaron looks around like crazy when he hears his voice. He is so patient, not only with the girls, but with me. He will sit and listen to me when I get in my "talking mood". I can talk and talk and he will sit and listen, or at least act like he's listening.=) He knows when to just leave me alone when I am stressed or tired and get in my "not wanting to talk" mood. He is absolutely the best. I love you so much Bri! Happy Anniversary!

Halloween Party

Fun Weekend

We had a fun time this past weekend. My sister from Arizona was here visiting. She came down here on Thursday and we just hung out and then we went up to my mom's for the weekend. The girls had lots of fun being with their cousins. It had been way too long since we'd seen them. I hadn't seen my little niece and she is 8 months. I couldn't get enough of her and her chubby cheeks. I have such wonderful sisters and I hate that we all live so far apart, but it makes it that more fun when we do get together. Thanks for coming to visit Chels! We love you guys!

This is grandma reading bedtime stories to the kids. It only lasted about 5 minutes, but they thought it was pretty cool!


Brooklyn loved to hold Aaron and Quincee loved playing with Brynlie. They were all so cute!

Grandma and grandpa had the kids come out and pick everything out of the garden since it was going to snow. They loved it.

Then on Sunday Brian was able to baptize and confirm one of his students. Me and the kids went with him. Quincee loved it and Caitlin cried because she didn't want daddy to get in the water and then all day today she's been saying that she doesn't want to get baptized. I hope she grows out of it by the time she turns eight!

This video is especially for Chelsea. Caitlin loves to sing High School Musical(not that you can understand her) and she kept singing it to Chelsea and we never got video of it. So I had her do it so I could record it.

Pretty awesome, I know! During the summer Caitlin would wear nothing but a swimming suit. Then she went through a phase where it was fun to wear those cool cowboy boots. She is such a funny girl and always keeps us laughing.

Happy Birthday Brian

Friday was Brian's birthday. We went up to Tooele right after school on Friday, so the girls and I decided to make a cake and celebrate his birthday last night. Those of you who know Brian know how wonderful he is and I am so blessed to have him as my husband. He is absolutley the best. He is the best husband and father anyone could ask for. Life has been so crazy since he started back to school, but you will never hear him complain. Maybe that's because I do enough for both of us.=) He's so loving and caring. I don' t know what I would do without him. Happy Birthday Bri. We love you!
