Happy Birthday Aaron

I know you say it with each kid you have, but I REALLY can't believe that Aaron is one already! What a year it's been! Aaron is seriously the sweetest thing ever! He is always smiling! He hardly ever cries and if he is fussing all you have to do is say his name and he gets the biggest grin. Oh what would we do without him?!

We didn't know what kind of cake to make him, since he could really care less. So we went with good old BYU. It turned out ok. Aaron wasn't to sure of the cake. His mouth is really sensitive to different textures, so the cake was definitely not his favorite.

We let him play with his cake for awhile. After he was done he didn't realize it was all over his hands so this is what he ended up looking like.

Aaron is such a strong boy. He's already had a lot of trials and set backs in his first year of life, but he is such a trooper. Seeing the strength he has is incredible. He has made us step back and see life from a different view. Our lives will forever be changed, but we couldn't be happier. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for sending me this extra special spirit. Happy Birthday Buddy! We sure love you!

Lots to catch up on

It has been so crazy here lately. It seems like the month of June came and went. We were able to do some fun things, even if we weren't all together. So here is what has been going on...yes there will be a lot of pics!

Aaron and I got to go to Arizona to visit my sister and her family. Chelsea had been up here for my dad's 60th birthday party. Yikes 60!! So I drove back with her and her 3 kids. It actually wasn't bad. Her kids do great traveling, but I was a little nervous about Aaron and how he would do. But he was great! He seriously didn't make a peep unless he was talking (that's baby talk!). I was so glad. I on the other hand wasn't much help. I get car sick so bad that I decided to talk a pill before we left so I wouldn't be throwing up. I only took half of one because they make me so tired. Well I didn't throw up but I sure was knocked out. So much for helping Chels drive. I was so out of it. I felt bad, but she got us home safe and sound and I went to bed at 7 that night and slept like a baby!
We just relaxed while I was there, which is exactly what I wanted to do. We did go shopping one day, well for about an hour but that's all the shopping we can stand. We are NOT shoppers! So it was just nice to sit and talk and play with the kids. Aaron and I flew home and he was wonderful on the plane as well. He just sat on my lap and then took a little nap. He is such a good baby. I think I should do a trip like this once a month! I'm sure Brian would go for it!

Brian, Quincee, and Caitlin went to Lagoon with Bri's family. They had a great time. Quincee went on the white roller coaster for the first time and I don't think she will ever do it again. Brian wasn't sure if she was going to throw up or pass out! But after she got over the shocked she had a great time. Caitlin went crazy and went on all the rides she could. She's starting to get more daring the older she gets. They sure had fun!

Thanks to Heidi who took Quinc on all the rides that spin. It makes me sick just thinking about them but she sure loves them!

Cait really was having fun even though she doesn't look like it. It's kind of her normal look!

After Lagoon Brian had to get back and get ready for scout camp!(for the fourth year in a row. He had a blast!=)) So the girls went camping with Gma and Gpa Allred. You know the kind of camping where you stay in a nice trailer, play at the playground, swim in the pool, the real though camping. They had so much fun!

Quincee caught her first fish(two to be exact!). She was beyond excited. I got a voicemail from her just screaming, she couldn't believe she caught two. Gpa was nice enough to gut them and send them home with her. He's so thoughtful!

Now on to the fourth of July. We love staying in Delta for the fourth. There's something about small towns that make it so much fun. It started the night before with the kids parade. The girls were so excited to decorate their bikes and ride down the street. The parade is over in about 5 minutes because all the kids ride as fast as they can.

Brian pushed Aaron in the stroller so he could go next to Cait. She ate it up. She thought everyone was there to see her and waved the whole time. She's so funny!

After the kids parades we had to stop at out new favorite spot for a refreshin snow cone!

The girls at the parade on the fourth. Since we've moved here we've sat next to the Anderson's and this year they made this. We got SO much candy. I think I'll save it and pass it out at halloween!

And what would the fourth be without the demolition derby?! The girls love it. Nothing like cheering on someone to crash their car so bad that it either rolls or starts on fire! Exciting! It's always a long tiring day, but a lot of fun.

Okay last part. Yesterday Brian and I took the kids to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was so fun. The girls just loved it. It was so fun to go and do something like this. They both can't wait to be married in the temple. It was beautiful!

That was a lot, but I think I'm caught up. No promises about keeping up on this though. This will do for awhile.

Update on Aaron

Tuesday we headed up to Primary's for an appointment with Aaron's neurologist and hopefully his last EEG. Aaron is seriously the sweetest little guy ever. He has an extra special spirit about him that we just can't get enough of. His neurologist said that his EEG looked "normal"! There was no sign of seizure activity and no slowing. It was seriously the best news we had gotten in awhile. We will continue to go in for check ups and hopefully never have to worry about the seizures again. Now it's off to the eye doctor next week and we are praying for some more good news!

This is Aaron with all the electrods hooked up to his head. He is so good to lay there while they hook him up. He's never fussed once while getting it done. Such a good baby!

They wrap his head to keep everything in place. He is extra tired and still he just lays and waits knowing he can go to sleep in just a few minutes. We sure love our little guy!

Thanks for the memories

So at about 1:00 this morning the wind was blowing so hard it woke Brian and I up. Brian got up and was looking outside when he noticed that our tramp was gone. It was too dark to see where it had gone, but this morning I got up I saw it. It had blown over the fence and down the canal. The girls were so sad. Quincee said "I just keep thinking of all the memories we had on it." So sad! There is no way of saving it, I don't even know how we will get it out of the canal. But what do you do, there's no way of controlling the wind, especially in Delta!

8 Months

Another month has come and gone. I know I say it all the time, but I can't believe how fast time goes. Aaron is 8 months old today. He is doing so good. He has finished his medicine, so no more shots. We are all so happy he is off the medicine and returning to his normal happy self. He is so fun to have around. We sure love him!

This was the last day he had his shot. Even he was happy to be done!

So Chubby

Aaron is getting so big. My girls were the scrawniest things when they were little and I always wanted a chubby baby, well I finally got one. I really can't take any of the credit, but his medication has really helped him to become chubby. He is almost 18 pounds which I don't think Quincee hit 18 pounds til around 12 or 13 months. So I love it. He is starting to get back to his "normal" little self and is smiling non-stop. He has been so happy and we have all loved it. I just had to show off a few pics of how cute our little guy is!

It was only a matter of time...

So Caitlin got a hold of the scissors the other day. This wasn't the first time she got to them. But instead of cutting my blinds in my kitchen and living room this time she decided to go for her hair. Now Cait has only gotten one hair cut before because her hair grows so slow. I kept looking at her thinking something looked different, then I noticed her pjs were all cut up (not the first time with that either!). Then it all clicked and I asked if she cut her hair she said she did and had put it in the garbage.

There in the garbage where all these little curls. She was so proud of herself. I called my friend and she said to come down and she would fix it. It was a total mullet. I thought maybe I should just leave it. Mullets are cool right? Well Crystal fixed it as good as she could, but we had to cut it really short so that it would all grow out the same. Oh so sad! Now instead of a mullet she has the feathered look. Nice! We tried to think of a way to discipline her, but Caitlin doesn't seem to care about anything. You could take away her toys, send her to her room, anything and she just doesn't care. So I made her take a nap. So mean I know! But she didn't care about any of my threats so I thought I atleast deserved some peace and quite for a bit. I guess it will always grow back. As for the blinds and pjs...well, we'll just keep all the scissors in a secret place.
